Wrapped In Place

Location: Florence, Italy

Term: Fall 2013

An addition to a library in Florence, Italy, this project is defining the path of a new architecture in a city still focused on its renaissance past, while relating to the succesful architecture that has been there for centuries. Wrapped In Place is a space where students can exhibit their artwork and sculptures, study amongst books and digital media, and converse as all Italians do at the cafe.

This extension also provides some much needed green space to the city. Wrapped In Place seeks to establish a new type of architecture and create a space where students desire to inhabit and utilize.
